Art Spirit Foundation

Fun, food, and flowers! part of the purpose of the Art Spirit Foundation is to create a community, one that allows individuals with the gift of creative vision to share their thoughts and ideas about life and art.
To that end, Dianne Bernhard has created Sunday Salons to be held at the Bernhard Gallery Studio in Southport Village and at the grand National Arts Club penthouse overlooking historic Gramercy Park in New York City.
These monthly soirées consist of civilized gatherings of painters, writers, intellectuals and other creative artists who exchange ideas, goals, and simply enjoy one another's company. Guests arrive around 2:00 in the afternoon where they enjoy food and drink, and a sharing of ideas and laughter are the main course of the day.
Private invitations to the Sunday Salon are sent out in advance and the number of persons is kept to a minimum. It is intended to be an intimate exchange of independent free thinkers.
Afternoon activities include painting demonstrations and workshops, poetry readings, lectures, intellectual conversation, vocal and musical performances, and book club reviews. One would almost expect to find in attendance the likes of Gertrude Stein!
